The Company repurchased 7,508 shares of its common stock for $1,022 million during the nine months ended September 30, 2024. As of October 25, 2024, the Company had $2,198 million available under its share repurchase authorization.

The Company's capital expenditures totaled $385 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2024. This included $275 million in maintenance capital expenditures and $110 million in development capital expenditures.

The Company issued $1,171 million more in debt than it paid off for the nine months ended September 30, 2024. This was primarily driven by new debt issuances, partially offset by debt payments.

The CHC Outage, and the resultant delay in claims submissions, led to an increase in our days sales outstanding, among other things, which increase has since subsided, but we do continue to see delays in, and issues with, collections with some payors.

The company continues to optimize its U.S. dialysis center footprint through center mergers and/or closures and expects center closure rates to remain at elevated levels over the remainder of 2024.

On March 5, 2024, DaVita entered into four separate purchase agreements with Fresenius Medical Care to acquire their dialysis service operations in Chile, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil. Chile and Ecuador closed during the first six months of 2024.
