Financial Performance

Net sales for the third quarter of fiscal 2024 increased by $204.7 million, or 16%, to $1,458.3 million, including $356.7 million of incremental sales attributable to the consolidation of LW EMEA. Excluding the LW EMEA acquisition, net sales decreased by 12%.

The transition to a new ERP system in North America resulted in a temporary reduction in visibility into finished goods inventories, affecting the ability to fulfill customer orders. This reduced sales volume growth by approximately 8 percentage points and net sales by approximately $135 million.

Net income declined in the third quarter of fiscal 2024, largely reflecting lower income from operations and higher interest expense. Adjusted EBITDA declined as compared to the prior year quarter primarily due to the impact of the ERP system transition, input cost inflation, and a $25.0 million pre-tax charge for the write-off of excess raw potatoes.
